Wategos Beach - Sitting just under the Lighthouse and around 3 kilometres (5 mins drive) from the centre of town, Wategos offers some of the best views and most expensive                                  Real Estate in Australia. Suffolk Park -  Suffolk Park is a seaside settlement on the southern side of Byron, around 6 kilometres (7 mins drive) from the centre of town. Suffolk sits on Tallow Beach                                       which is one of Byron's easterly facing beaches. Suffolk offers fantastic accommodation, 3 to 4.5 star - Motel, Resort, Townhouses to beachfront Cottages &                                     Houses   

Bangalow - Bangalow is a small, quaint yet chic Village 12 kilometres (10 minutes drive) west of Byron. Bangalow sits on the edge of Byron's Hinterland and offers great Cafe's                       Restaurants and Antique shops. Accommodation: 4 star/self rated - Apatrment & Guesthouse 

Lennox Head - Ninteen kilometres south of Byron Bay, Lennox Head has become a well known surfing spot and offers a quieter alternative to Byron . Accommodation: 4 to 4.5                              star/self rated - Apartments & Resort.

Ballina - 36 kilometres south of Byron this coastal town sits at the mouth of the Richmond River. It's a larger yet quiter town than Byron and can offer a cheaper                                                  accommodation alternative particularly in busy periods. Accommodation: 3 to 4.5 star/self rated - Motels, Resorts, Apartments.

                            Byron Bay Hinterland - This covers a large area predominately west of Byron but also north of Murwillumbah just shy of the Queensland border. Byron's                                                                                        hinterland is a "stunning must see". It's almost always green and ranges from dense sub-tropical rainforest to rolling cow pastures                                                                                with ocean views.
