Suffolk Park - Suffolk Park is a seaside settlement on the southern side of Byron, around 6 kilometres (7 mins drive) from the centre of town. Ballina - 36 kilometres south of Byron this coastal town sits at the mouth of the Richmond River. It's a larger yet quiter town than Byron and can offer a cheaper accommodation alternative particularly in busy periods. Accommodation: 3 to 4.5 star/self rated - Motels, Resorts, Apartments.

Byron Bay Hinterland - This covers a large area predominately west of Byron but also north of Murwillumbah just shy of the Queensland border. Byron's hinterland is a "stunning must see".
