Schoolies Booking Conditions

Byron Bay Accom cater for all of your holiday needs and have a huge range of accommodation available in and around Byron Bay. This includes Resorts, Motels, Hotels, Apartments, Houses and B&B's. Unfortunately not all of these property types will be available for Schoolies, however the below conditions or the property Booking Conditions will apply to all Schoolie bookings.

Dear Guest

At BBA we are pleased to provide an environment for our youth to celebrate their end of school time. Clear guidelines are needed to make things run smoothly. We would like your holiday in Byron Bay to be an enjoyable experience for you and everyone else concerned. Please read these conditions carefully.

By proceeding to make a booking you acknowledge that all members of your group have read and accepted the schoolies terms and conditions and will abide by them and one nominated group leader will be responsible for the reservation.

PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS

  • 50% Deposit is to be paid at the time of the booking + 2.5% non-refundable booking fee.
  • Your Deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES.   We strongly advise that you take out travel insurance in the event that you have to cancel your booking.
  • The dollar value of a booking can not be reduced as this is classed as a cancellation and monies are non refundable.  Any administration changes to your booking will incur a $100 fee.
  • The BALANCE of your accommodation and your SECURITY BOND is payable by the 1st September year of arrival. Bond amount is $1,500. If these funds are not paid by the due date your booking will be cancelled and NO MONIES will be refunded.

CONDITIONS OF THE PROPERTY

  • Number of guests booked is the maximum allowed and will be strictly enforced.
  • The property is to be fully secured when unattended
  • Upon vacation: all rubbish is to be placed in the bins provided, dishes washed and put away, furniture in original position, excess dirt swept, rubbish removed from gardens, BBQ cleaned. 
  • Strata Title Laws must be observed.
  • VISITORS: No visitors allowed after 9pm. PLEASE NOTE some APARTMENT COMPLEXES DO NOT ALLOW visitors at all. The SECURITY GUARD has the right to enter the property if necessary.
  • No Parties
  • No smoking
  • NOISE: No excess noise from Stereos, TV’s, DVD’s or other electronic equipment, loud voices etc. is to be made at anytime. For the comfort of other guests and neighbours, minimal noise only to be audible outside of the property at any time. Additionally if the police are called or your group is warned for noise more than once your bond may be forfeited and you will be evicted.
  • All damages, breakages or losses to the property furniture or furnishings will be paid for by the guest. Loss of keys will attract a $50 fee.
  • Absolutely NO SMOKING inside the property. Charges for cleaning due to smoking in the property  will be deducted from your  bond.
  • A SECURITY GUARD will be present in most cases at your accommodation. This is not just to keep an eye on noise levels etc but for YOUR SECURITY and we would encourage you to speak to the guard if you feel it necessary.  If the security guard reports to Byron Bay Accom of intolerable behaviour from any member of your group, this may result in eviction without refund. 

Breaches of these conditions may result in the forfeiture of your SECURITY BOND, refusal of key and/eviction at the discretion of the management. If you are evicted prior to your departure date the balance of your accommodation is NOT SUBJECT TO REFUND.

Individual Properties may have additional rules or Security Deposit Conditions which are required to be adhered to as conditions for this deposit. Guests must make themselves familiar with these conditions on arrival. See Below for added terms and conditions for particular complexes:


22 Bay St, Byron
Additional terms and conditions:

  • An individual inspection of all apartments will be made on check out.  If the room is clean and tidy, all dishes washed and returned to the cupboards, all rubbish removed to the garbage bins located in rear of car park and there is no damage, missing items or extra cleaning required, the bond will be returned in full. Refund of Bond will be paid via Trust Account cheque within 14 days of departure.
  • Any damage to the complex, the apartment or its contents is the responsibility of the guest and will be deducted from your bond
  • Only registered guests booked into the Apartment are to be on the premises.  Breaching this condition will result in immediate eviction and forfeit of your Bond
  • The Management reserves the right for Security or Bayview staff  to enter any Apartments if they believe any rules have been  breached
  • No parties/group gatherings will be allowed in the apartments or on the balconies at any time.  After 10pm only registered guests to an Apartment are allowed in that Apartment
  • All Schoolies are required to provide contact details of their parents/guardians.  Guardian consent forms will be required for all under 18 year olds at the time of staying

14 Middleton St, Byron
Additional terms and conditions:

  • Security Bond of $500 per apartment is required upon check in. (Please note that cheques are not accepted).
  •  An individual inspection of all apartments will be made upon checkout.
  • Any damage to the complex, the apartment or its contents is the responsibility of the guest & will be deducted from your bond.
  • The Management reserves the right to enter any Apartment if they believe any rules have been breached.

 

8 Byron St, Byron
Additional terms and conditions:

  • By proceeding to make a reservation you are acknowledging that all members of your group have read and accepted our schoolies rules and will abide by them and 1 nominated group leader will be responsible for the reservation.
  • A room inspection will be made on departure.  If the room is clean, tidy, all dishes washed and returned to their cupboards, all rubbish removed to the garbage bins in the garage and there is no damage, lost property or extra cleaning the bond will be returned in full.
  • UNDER AGE CONSENT: Guardian consent forms will be required for all people under 18 years of age at the time of staying at 8 Byron St.  These forms require an adult (parent or guardian) takes full responsibility for any person under the age of 18 years.  This is a body corporate rule for the complex at all times of the year.  Accommodation will be refused to anyone not meeting this rule; proof of age may be requested on arrival.
  • CONTACT DETAILS: All schoolies are required complete a ‘Schoolies Information Form’ which includes 24-hour contact details of their parents/guardians while a guest at 8 Byron St.
  • SECURITY:  Security will be increased over schoolies.  A security guard will be stationed on the premises.  Only registered guests of 8 Byron St will be permitted on the property during schoolies.
  • BREACH OF RULES:  No illegal, illicit, antisocial, disruptive, destructive and/or drunken behaviour will not be tolerated.   Taking of any illegal drugs is strictly forbidden.
  • Management reserves  the right  to require a person(s) or  the whole group be evicted from the  premises  immediately  with  no  refund  if  they breach  the  house  rules.  Security staff and, if necessary, the police will supervise this process.  For minor breaches one (1) warning will be given, for major breaches no warnings will be given and guests will be required to leave immediately.
  • The management and/or the security staff reserve the right to enter an apartment if they reasonably believe any rules have been breached.
  • VISITORS:  Only paying guests will be permitted on the premises. All problems and damage to the property in past years of schoolies has been by non-registered guest of Byron Quarter. Any breach of this rule, particularly the smuggling of non-paying guests in will be treated as illegal behaviour and will result in immediate eviction of both the registered guest and the trespasser. 
  • NO PARTIES:  No parties/group gatherings will be allowed in the apartments or on the balconies at anytime.  After 10 pm only guests registered to an apartment are allowed in that apartment.  Groups of house guests from different apartments gathering in an apartment will need to disperse after this time.  Groups of 11 or more people are not permitted in any one apartment at anytime.
  • NO SMOKING:  No Smoking (cigarettes or any other drugs) in the apartments, hallways or within the gated walkways or any other common areas on the property.  Smoking is only permitted on the balconies/courtyards.  Butts must be disposed of in the ashtrays provided.  It is the guests’ responsibility to dispose the butts in the garbage and wash the ashtray before departure.  Any damage to the shade sails or any other property or furnishings will be charged to the guests.   Apartments that have been smoked in will receive a minimum $300 extra cleaning and deodorization fee.
  • NOISE CURFEW:  There will be a strict noise curfew from 10pm until 8am each night.  After 10 pm guests will be expected to reduce noise from within their apartments and on the balconies to an absolute minimum.  Noise that affects the quiet enjoyment of other guest or neighbouring properties will not be tolerated at any time.
  • Any damage to the complex, the apartment or its contents is the responsibility of the guest or their guardians.
  • MID STAY INSPECTION:  A mid week inspection of the apartment will be made.  If deemed necessary by the Management, a mid stay clean will be conducted at the guests cost. This will be a minimum of $70 for one bedroom apartments and $80 for two-bedroom apartments. CAR PARKING:  Usage of Byron Quarters’ garage is limited during schoolies to parking on arrival and removing the vehicle on departure day. Off-street parking is available adjacent to the complex if the above arrangement is not satisfactory.


5 Old Bangalow Rd, Byron
Additional terms and conditions:

  • A Security Bond of $1500 per apartment is required.  This Bond is to be paid directly to the property by 1st September 2008.
  • An inspection of all apartments will be made upon or after checkout.  If the room is clean, tidy, all dishes washed and returned to the cupboards, all rubbish removed to the garbage bins and there is no damage, missing items or extra cleaning required the bond will be returned in full. Refund of bond will be paid via  Trust  Account Cheque (payable  to  the nominated contact person) within 14-days of departure.
  • Guardian consent forms will be required for all under 18 year olds at the time of staying.  This form requires that a parent or guardian takes full responsibility for any person under the age of 18 years. This is a Body Corporate rule for the complex at all times of the year. Accommodation will be refused to anyone not meeting this rule, proof of age may be requested on arrival.   A separate consent form is required for EACH person under 18 years of age.
  • All Schoolies are required to provide contact details of their parents/guardians.
  • Any damage to the complex, the apartment or its contents is the responsibility of the guest or their guardian
  • A  mid-week  inspection  of  the  Apartment  will  be  made.    If  deemed  necessary a mid stay clean will be conducted at the guests cost. This will be a minimum of $70 for one-bedroom, $80 for  two-bedrooms and $90 for  three-bedroom.  This amount will be deducted from the Security Bond.
  • A security guard will be on  the premises each night.  The management or security staff  reserve  the  right  to  enter any apartment  if  they believe  any  rules have been breached.  Security passes will be issued and will be required to enter the complex at all times.
  • Only paying house guests of 5 Old Bangalow Rd will be permitted on the premises.  Any breach of this rule, particularly smuggling of non-paying guests in at night will be treated as a breach of the conditions.
  • 5 Old Bangalow Rd  is a non smoking  and drug  free  complex.    Smoking  is  only  permitted outside of the apartments.  Butts must be disposed of in the ashtrays provided.  It is the guests responsibility to dispose the butts in the garbage and wash the ashtray before departure.  
  • No parties/group gatherings will be allowed  in  the Apartments after 10 pm until  the following day.  This includes groups of houseguests from different apartments gathering in any particular apartment.  
  • There will be a strict noise curfew from 10pm until 8am each night.  After 10 pm guests will be expected to reduce noise from within their apartments, in courtyards/gardens and on the patios to an absolute minimum.  Noise that affects the quiet enjoyment of other guests or neighbouring properties will not be tolerated at any time.   
  • No  illegal, antisocial, disruptive, destructive and/or drunken behaviour will be  tolerated  in  the complex.  Management reserves  the right  to require a person(s) or  the whole group  be evicted from the  premises  immediately  with  no  refund  if  they breach  the  house  rules  of  5  Old Bangalow Rd.  Security staff and, if necessary, the police will supervise this process.  For minor breaches one (1) warning will be given, for major breaches no warnings will be given and guests will be required to leave immediately.

 

Belongil Escape
Additional terms and conditions:

 

  • Management requires all contact names of registered guests and their parents prior to arrival.
  • 2x valid credit cards will be required per room booked.
  • Onsite managers will organise security guards to patrol throughout the night, and personal id will be given
    to each registered guest upon arrival. These are to be carried at all times and produced upon request.
  • No excessively loud noise at any time – and no noise to be heard outside of each apartment after 10pm.
  • Only those registered guests are to make use of the pool facilities.
  • No glass is to be taken into the pool area. Please be sure to abide by all pool rules, including hours of use.
  • Any loss of keys or garage remote or damage must be paid for. Garage remote replacement is $70 and key loss would
    result in a locksmith bill for re-keying of locks.
  • Under aged drinking and/or drug taking is illegal & will not be tolerated.
  • No climbing between balconies or patios under any circumstances.
  • Please check bedding configurations prior to your stay as many of our apartments have double, queen and king size
    beds. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you are acknowledging that your parents are aware (if you are under 18
    years of age) that you may be required to share a double bed. 
  • Up to 3 random checks (with prior notice) of rooms may be done during your stay. If rooms are deemed damaged then
    immediate eviction will apply.
  • All units must be kept clean and tidy during the stay, rubbish is to be removed daily. Upon departure all washing up to be
    done and put away, all rubbish including food in the fridge is to be put in the resort’s industrial bins. If these requirements
    are not met an additional cleaning charge of $100 min. will be charged to the credit card.
  • Absolutely no smoking in the apartments, on their decks/courtyards or in common areas (including the pool area). Fines
    will apply to anyone who chooses to ignore the no smoking rule and eviction may be considered.
  • Only those registered guests booked into the apartment are to be on the premises. Breaching this condition will result in
    immediate eviction and forfeiture of your bond.
  • Any breakages must be paid for.
  • The apartment must be locked securely when vacant and onsite management reserves
    the right to enter and secure the property if necessary

 
53 Shirley St, Byron
Additional terms and conditions:

  • $100 per person bond held by management until end of stay and inspection of room completed.  Late check outs are not available.
  • 2 valid credit cards will be required per room booked.
  • Random inspections may occur. If rooms are deemed damaged or trashed, then immediate eviction will apply.
  • Management require all contact names of guests and their parents prior to arrival.
  • ID bands will be issued upon arrival and these must be worn at all times.  NO ID band means no entry into the complex or room.
  • All units must be kept clean and tidy and all rubbish removed from apartments during the stay.  If these requirements are not met a cleaning charge of $200 will be added to the credit card upon departure.
  • Any breakages must be paid for and may be added to the credit card.
  • NO smoking in the units or pool area.  A $300 fine will apply if smoking is evident.
  • Only registered guests are allowed on premises day or night.  Loss of bond or eviction will apply if this rule is broken.
  • Loss of keys will result in $100 replacement fee.

Aajas Beach House
Additional Terms and Conditions:
