Uniquely Byron Bay festivals

From music to food, sport to arts - there is a plethora of festivals and events held throughout the year in Byron. Whilst Bluesfest is one of the best known, there are plenty of others to pencil in the calendar.

Caper Byron Bay

A relative newcomer to the festival scene, Caper is an immersive and inclusive ten-day celebration of Byron Bay and Northern Rivers region’s past, present and future.

The ten-day festival is a foray through Byron Shire’s food, drink, music, wellness, art, community, and entertainment, through a cluster of ticketed and free community events and exhibitions.

Held from 17-26 May 2024 in various locations around the Byron region.

Byron Bay Writer’s Festival

As Australia’s favourite regional meeting place of storytelling and ideas, Byron Writers Festival attracts thousands of attendees to experience shared moments of human connection.

Leading writers and thinkers from across Australia and the globe come to the festival to share stories, ideas and the power of words with audiences, through ticketed events and workshops.

Held in Bangalow on the first weekend of August each year, the festival has become an internationally renowned event since its inception in 2005.
