Five places to try a local brew
Whilst Byron Bay is renowned worldwide for a commitment to health and wellness, it doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy a drink every now and then! Fortunately, there are plenty of artisan local breweries and distilleries to check out during your stay. Here are a few of our favourites.
Stone and Wood
Located in the Byron Arts and Industry Estate, Stone & Wood was started by three mates as a village brewery, and has grown into an iconic Byron brand. Enjoy a fun afternoon brewery tour, sample their easy to drink beers and delicious grazing food just minutes out of town on the solar train.
Seven Mile Brewing Co
Seven Mile Brewing Co. is a family operated brewery located just near Ballina Airport. With a great range of boutique beers, frequent seasonal releases to try, and rotating food trucks, it’s a fun way to spend a few hours.

Enjoy their award winning beer in the taproom, authentic wood fired pizzas and a great local wine list. With a cozy fireplace for winter, and a covered outdoor deck for summer, it’s a great place to visit year-round.
